Consulting Experience
Work stream lead for Estates and Facilities Operational Improvement Programme at a QS Global University ranked top 5 institution
Led an operating theatre improvement project across 4 sites of an NHS FT hospital, delivering 10% increase in theatre list capacity and 12% reduction in operating case turnaround time. Work stream lead for the implementation of Daily Planning & build sequencing at the outfitting and installation phase of the Queen Elizabeth Aircraft carrier build programme for the MoD. Supported a major transformation programme within a commercial airline (GMO) organisation. Led on 2 main project work streams (Supply Chain redesign and airline commercial planning)
Led a TPM programme for a component supplier to the aircraft industry. As part of the ASDA/Walmart ‘Ignite’ programme coached and mentored Field based improvement champions in Operational Improvement principles, tools & techniques. Developed and delivered coaching and lean thought leadership programme to senior/exec team at a Global Pharmaceutical Company. Conducted best practice research for the board of a large NHS Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) on cost improvement opportunities in Outpatient referral pathways
Management Experience
Deputy Director of Improvement at a large NHS teaching hospital responsible for an 8 person Kaizen Promotion Office (KPO) implementing an improvement system based upon the Toyota Production System. Kaizen Manager for Belden Telecomm Inc. (now part of Carlyle Group) responsible for Lean implementation across 3 sites. Team leader at an Automotive parts supply warehouse supplying OEM parts to Jaguar, VAG Group, Volvo and Land Rover.
